This is usually caused by a problem in your network configuration.  Even if other programs don't do it, they don't work as fast as Qwix, so the problem may not manifest itself.  How are you setup on your PC and LAN?

I'm set up with a D-link DI-614+ router
static IP on the xbox
DHCP on the pc
