Whoa, you're really fast with your releases...

But I've got a question: The APOD is downloaded to drives Y and Z but it never appears as screensaver in my Avalaunch.

avalaunch.xml looks like this:
CODE

Another thing I don't understand: I flashed my BIOS to bring the LED up in orange. This works with all apps but avalaunch. Here I have a green LED, although it is set to orange in idlemode.
CODE

Any suggestions or solutions?

Enough complaints now wink.gif. Keep up the great work!

Greets,
DC

thing is that we were first to make the LED changes, and we didn't really expect anyone to stuff it into bios'es.   And we haven't really bothered to fix it yet =)

Nice to see the dash being updated so quickly. I'm especially looking forward to test a new harddrive with the new G drive.  laugh.gif

I'm experiencing lockups with this latest version, though. Anyone experiencing the same problems? I'm using an Xbox v1.0 with an Xecuter 4977 BIOS. Avalaunch is stored on the C drive and the xbe has been renamed to evoxdash.xbe.  After a minute or so it will just lockup while I'm in the dash.

same setup and problem

it seems to be a problem with the dns servers.

change them to 0.0.0.0 and you wont get lockups anymore.

very strange.

it sux too cuz no rss, irc, APOD   sad.gif

thanks for the update. in my opionion avalaunch is the best xbox dash atm. i have still installed 0.47.1, it runs pretty good for me (except IRC not working, which i don't use anyway) and sometimes buggish ftp-support (using flashfxp as a client). is the update to 0.47.3 recommended (stupid question, i know)?

QUOTE (smacka @ Sep 3 2003, 02:10 PM)
the rss stuff isnt really working in this version, at least for me. when rss is enabled ava freezes as soon as the dash is loaded. in the last version everything worked fine and i'm using the same network configs. ive tried allready removing 2 feeds, but it still freezes sad.gif
i have to disable the rss feeds completely to make my ava work...

Same here. After lots of reboots, I am quiete sure it is the newsflash entry. No problems when disabled, i.e. set to "0".

OTOH, I also get lockups when trying to activate proxy (over local squid on a debian linux) and asking for newest version in settings.

Some problems with network code? unsure.gif

It's all working perfectly fine for me on a v1.1 Xbox with X2 4977.

My T2: Extreme Edition no longer causes it to freeze up now! Whatever you guys did, thankyou!

I used the 'Update Dashboard' feature on the Settings page, went from .2 to .3 fine.
FTP commands seem to work too, plus my IRC and general network connection is still working ;]

n1 fellas
