you should tell what you bios etc you had before you changed
what modchip and what bank you boot from.
And what has changed since then.

well it prolly don't help very much but i had that problem when i was testing a friend's avalaunch.xml cuz he couldn't shit to connect

it locked on logo every single time
so i booted back with my recovery disc, then launched evox, ftp in xbox, copy my xml back over and all was well again in the land of xbox
