Building New Skins

huh.gif  I'm guessing in the evox.ini but I can't figure out how to shift the menu to the top left corner. I'm guessing if it's only in the evox.ini then there is n way to make the menu location skin dependant. dry.gif  If anyone could help me it I would be greatful and more then willing to share the fruits of my labor. wink.gif

i don't use the skinner.

that being said, each skin (with its 640x480 main.jpg and launch.jpg), in its own folder, each in the C:SKIN folder, has its own skin.ini. that's where you config everything.

i won't go over too much, as i'm sure it's been done again and again. i'll give an example. my "DOA Kasumi" skin.ini:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SkinName "DOA Kasumi","DOA Kasumi" #your skin's name. this goes everywhere you see DOA Kasumi

[Skin_DOA Kasumi]

Text   =       30,37,0.5,0x000000,0,"<Time>" #XY coordinates on screen
Text   =       28,39,0.5,0x808080,0,"<Time>"

Text   =       620,420,0.5,0x000000,1,"<CD>"
Text   =       618,422,0.5,0x808080,1,"<CD>"

Text   =       30,420,0.5,0x000000,0,"RD Name : <RDName>"
Text   =       28,422,0.5,0x808080,0,"RD Name : <RDName>"

LogoType=   4

Main   =   "[backslash]skin[backslash]DOA Kasumi[backslash]main.jpg"
Launch   =   "[backslash]skin[backslash]DOA Kasumi[backslash]launch.jpg"

BarColor1 = 0x946DA4 #hexadecimal for colors. i just use the wand in photoshop to get these
BarColor2 = 0x626DBC #only necessary for the bar's outside border
BarAlpha = 0.7 #transparency. from 0.0 to 0.9(?)

MenuColor1 = 0xE4D8E6
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i guess the XY coordinates were what you were looking for. just try your skin with that setup and tweak out the exact numbers you were looking for.

Every Evox Skin has the menu in the exact same place.....there is no option to move the menu - only change colors and shading.
