Do All v1.3's have Samsung?

Is there any way of reading the serial / date and knowing if its Samsung or not? Or is it just all chance?

I Think they do cus i just bought one a few days ago and it had one with a slim Seagat HDD

NEW v1.3 INFO! We know there's a new version 1.3 xbox now - the board is 100% identical to xbox v1.2 as far as we know. There's no perfect method to see the difference between v1.2 and v1.3 (yet).
The best test we can give atm is and check on the serial#:
Serial Number v1.2 : XXXXXXX 30205
Serial Number v1.3 : XXXXXXX 31205
We do NOT know if this test is 100% accurate.

1/ Check the "manufacturing date".
