Evox 2.5?
« on: May 15, 2010, 10:57:00 AM »

I'm not sure of the latest number version for Evox. It has been the same for the last 8-10 years.

In order to get rid of the Xbox Dash you will need to modify the Xbox. You can put in a mod chip or soft mod the Xbox. After soft modding you can flash the TSOP if it is a 1.5 or less version. After that you can put in a larger HD.

When you mod the Xbox, the soft mod package, Krazie's Ndure 1.1.1 will allow you to install Evox as a dash.

see im trying not to mod the xbox, im trying to keep the original xbox live dashboard, but get rid of the live options and features. i didnt know you needed to mod the xbox in order to use evoX

To understand you correctly:

You have the original MS Dashboard that has been updated to include LIVE options.

You want to keep the MS Dashboard but revert to an older version to remove the LIVE features.

You don't want to modify your Xbox in any way.

To solve that you would need to run a soft mod and gain FTP access to the hard drive on the Xbox. You would need to have an older dash available (sorry, don't know the MS Dash you would want) and FTP that older MS Dash to the C drive after deleting what you have on there.

Just curious, why do you want to get rid of the LIVE option on the MS Dash? Because MS doesn't support it any more? Running a game could update the dash in the future and you would need to start all over again.
