I posted this elsewhere and no one answered me, i figured it was because I was in the wrong area. Or because it was a stupid noob question and I was annoying people ... either way ... any help would be appreciated

Anyhoo ... I am using the evolution x dashboard and everything was fine. Then I went to play metal gear on the fcultra emulator and when i tried to save the state it said that it had saved but when i went to load it was not there.

 I thought that maybe there was a setting that had somehow got switched off, but I looked and I couldn't find it. then I thought that maybe there were only so many save states allowed but that didn't make sense. then I checked the forums and someone said to make sure that the directories were right. I check and in a button mashing stupor I think I changed some of the directories. Knowing something about computers I went in and tried to find the original directories, and I think I did it, but now when I speed through menus (to look for a game in the huge nes game lists) it starts acting funny (like when I push right on the controller instead of going to the next letter like it used to, it goes to the last entry in the list ... weird).

So now I guess i am asking either A) what are the default directories supposed to be so i can check them against what I have, is there a reset button or something that can reset all the directories and settings to default, and C) I found a reset UXE button and I really want to push it in hopes that it will do something good ... however I don't want my famous last words to be "I wonder what this button does ..." . So if someone could point me in the right direction I would eternally grateful.

Also I am somewhat of a noob to forums so if I am doing this wrong please advise.
