I currently have a softmodded xbox and at some point I changed it so the default dashboard was XBMC and not the evolution x dashboard.

What I want to do is obtain the eeprom file so I can upgrade the hard drive, but for some reason it's not in the backup folder of MS. So in order to get this file I need to be able to switch back to the evoltuion x dashboard and obtain it and then be able to revert back to xbmc as the default dashboard.

My problem is that I can't seem to figure out what files I have to change in order to accomplish this. I know this is somehow related to replacing the .xbe and .cfg files, but I find copies of these things in the E folder and the C folder, and I'm just really confused as to how they work.

How you change dashboard depends which softmod you have......

However, you don't need to change dashboards - just run EvolutionX as an application. Alternatively run Config Magic, or xman954's eeprom dumper.

Haha, ok that was easy, just did it right now with the xbmc file manager and backed up the eeprom folder to E. Thanks!
