Hdd Too Small?
« on: November 04, 2008, 11:07:00 AM »

Sorry for double post, couple things I left out. I am using EvoX dashboard, also, yesterday I saw something on the internet (can't remember where) that you can edit the game and take out some things like the different languages or videos to make the game smaller. Is this true? And I also don't care about single player (since it doesn't work on my disc anyways.) Again any help is appreciated.

Do you have the UDATA a TDATA folders on your E:\ cause you need them

you can remove the update files from the game but i dont think you ar gonna be able to make it fit and if you did get it to fit you would probably run into problems with either games or the xbox so you should look into upgrading the hdd

Yea I have both UDATA and TDATA in E:. And I was hoping to stay away from upgrading to a new hdd because I have no idea how to install it or even where to buy them.

You need a lockable PATA / IDE drive. The xbox hard drive compatibity chart shows which discs are lockable, and there's a short discussion here.

You can use xboxhdm, or chimp (instructions here), or lxhdm to install the new disc.
