Boot the game used to do the softmod and gain FTP access. Fix the problem, reboot.

Burn Problems?
« Reply #3 on: July 03, 2008, 04:36:00 AM »

but still, the problem i have is that i don't know what i'm doing wrong while burning the isos.

1. placing default.xbe, evox.ini, a dummy and /backup in a folder
2. creating iso with craxtion selecting the above folder
3. craxtion patches xbe file
4. recorder->burn image in nero
5. selecting the new iso
6. selecting lowest speed, finalize cd, disk at once/69
7. burning
8. xbox gives the same sound as when managing to read any other cd or dvd, only to crap its pants.
9. i crap my pants
10. doing 4-9 over again but this time selecting slayer autoinstaller iso in nero

it's a philips diskreader that has read almost every media i've put in it, except maybe some tdk cdr ones...

If you have the option finalize the disc showing up then you are not burning an image you are burning a data disc.
Use IMGBURN to burn the ISO image and try Quix instead of craxtion. IMGBURN is free and has never failed me.

thank's a lot everyone! and especially you ldotsfan who showed me to a package not yet tried but that actually worked!

or at least the box booted. smile.gif
i couldn't format my new drive with the disc, it refused to open the xbpartitioner and a change in evox.ini made the disc useless.
but, however, it is not that hard to format the harddrive via ftp. and now the xbox runs as before! biggrin.gif

hurray! tongue.gif

ps.
Chancer -> when burning an image in nero it gives you the option to check or uncheck the finalize disk box. at least if you're burning an foreign image. and i used imgburn, magiciso and nero when trying to burn all of the discs that are now useless except from throwing between friends on the beach.

and again, thanks to you all for brainstorming!
