Problem After Edited Evox.ini
« on: June 17, 2008, 01:33:00 PM »

Hey,
I think I did a mistake with my xbox, im a newbie to the xbox.

I wanted to play GTA (NTSC) and that didnt work.
Among with the came this "fix" that said:

open your evox.ini and edit the following values:
TSR_Type =1
GameRegion = 1
also add:
DebugTSR = No
this will give you real ntsc mode and the game should work.

I backed up the evox.ini and did this with C/evox.ini , didnt find the values so I added them under [misc]
It didnt work so I changed back to the original evox.ini.
But its still is the same after I restored the file (thru ftp)

In the menu, "MS" is red, and if I choose games they dont show.

Please help me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ok, thanks...I guess I need to do some reading (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
No hints on what I did wrong or what I need to do, like reinstall evox...?
Cause I copied back the same contents of the evox.ini file but I guess that the app is very picky (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If you sent your Evox.ini file to the PC, saved the original and made changes to another copy you can FTP the origianl back and it should work the same as before. If it doesn't, you aren't using the right evox.ini file unless you made other changes to other files on the Xbox.

The Evox.ini file contains all the settings. Evox.xbe (or default.xbe) looks at that file to see what it should do and display.

If you read through the evox guide and still can't get it working, post the contents of your Evox.ini file here. Make sure you are trying to use the right one though.

SOLVED IT (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For some reason was the evox.ini file damaged when transfering between pc and xbox so all " , : and \ was removed so it looked like:

MSDashBoard   = cxboxdash.xbe
Instead of:

MSDashBoard   = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"

That's good, now you know how to trouble shoot the Evox.ini file.
