Help! How Do I Use Ftp On My Xbox?
« on: June 10, 2008, 06:19:00 PM »

I have finally installed EVOX on my Xbox (woohoo!). So now I can use FTP to put emulators on right? But I can't figure out how to set up FTP on my Xbox and my computer so that I can send stuff from my computer (with Windows XP) to my Xbox. My Xbox is connected directly to my computer with an ethernet patch cord. I have Filezilla (my FTP client) on my computer but when I put in the IP address (I found it in the settings menu on EVOX) in it, it can't log on. I even went to the command prompt on my computer and used the "ping" command with my Xbox's IP address, but the ping was never returned. And I tryed all of this AFTER my firewall was turned off on my computer so it wouldn't interfere. So I some SERIOUS help with getting my Xbox's FTP working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well you need to go on your computer and go to your network connections in the properties of find the TCP and click that then the properties button. in there you should change your IP address to 192.168.0.1 then the xbox IP should be 192.168.0.3  hope this helps. let me know if you have any other problems or you can look at the noobs guide to everything on this site.
