hey this is the best section I can think of to ask my question before I do damage to my customer's game saves.
Well I'm using slayer's 2.6 right now. And, if I do a full build of the current harddrive(OEM)...then will I lose his game saves. I remember doing this before for 2 customers but I just went ahead and blew away their games saves. They didn't care. Now, I know I must somehow get ftp up and running so I can transfer this data to my computer hdd. So, I'll need to obviously install Slayer's to the hdd in order to use ftp....and in doing so will it wipe the existing data, ie my customer's saves? Snake eating it's own tail scenario or can it be avoided?   I also noticed that craxtion 4.0 has a game saves tab. How can I use that to transfer game saves? Basically I need to transfer games saves to my computer and then back to upgraded harddrive for xbox. Thank you.

I just had an idea... would the solution be to connect the xbox harddrive to my computer and copy the game saves folder to my host harddrive? Would that work?

Well for starters you dont install slayers, you run it on the xbox.

1st...make sure the HDD on the xbox is unlocked. configmagic will help you on this.

2nd...If you are running slayers 2.6 already on the xbox then Look at the IP adress. Assuming that you already have the correct Lan cable for your particular setup. For your convenience I'd use windows own Internet Explorer Browser cause it has inbuilt ftp support. I say this cause I dont think you have the technical knowledge ( not to be mean ) but it will do you just for this task. Search button will help you on how to use the web browser to connect. When you understand that then go into E folder on the xbox and save the file called "UDATA" cause thats where the game saves are to your PC HDD.

3rd...Then do the HDD upgrade using slayers and copy back the Folder "UDATA" to E folder on the xbox...

Why you gotta be a prick for? I'm not technically retarded. I've been doing ftp and networking for longer than you probably.  I used to be tech support  for a company that put together linux servers. Thank you very much. I set up my own website(so I know how to use ftp) and create all my own graphics.  All my friends have me setup their RAIDS. What. I used $800  Escalade RAID cards. I've setup backplanes and all that. Now, give me some credit buddy. You obviously can't be nice so I gotta come on here and defend myself. Why you such a dick for....your momma didn't breast feed you or something? Your overcompensating fucktard!! I've been around the tech scene in the Silicon Valley. I've got SUN servers, RedHat WS and ES(enterprise server) , SuSE 10.0 and SLES-9.xx all networked and running dns servers with failover and roundrobins. What?
