Tranfering From F:emulators To E Drive
« on: February 05, 2007, 05:49:00 PM »

can someone point me in the right direction,

i just updated my xbox with slayers 2.7
my box has evo x dash

my emulators i have already had on the xbox are in F:emulators along with the roms in the folder with each emulator

i need them in E: drive

so here is what they look like

/F/Emulators/kawax etc etc

i want them here
/E/Apps/Emulators/kawax etc etc

I know i am overlooking something
I used flashfxp, but i have to put them on the cpu HDD
after that i have to transfer them where i want, yeah that works but thats gonna take forever.

any suggestions on a faster way.
i tried xbox xplorer on my dash board but it only lets me send them straight to e:  not to where i need them

please can i get a  little help.
thanks

If you have a lot of ROMs, you will be better off leaving them on the F drive. If the E drive gets too full, you will have problems with the Xbox.

For moving files in FlashFXP, press CTRL M to move a folder you have selected. In that box select the drive and folder you want it to go to.

yeah but if i leave the roms in f: i still need the emulators to show up on my dashboard under emulators and thats in the E drive.  It wasnt like that till i updated i had it set the way i wanted . but its been years since i did work on an xbox.

I know i can put emulators in e: , but how do i make them go to the right roms for that emulator with the roms in f:

What you need to do is just move the emulator program files themselves to E:\Emulators.  Then change the .ini file thats included in each emulator (if applicable) to point to your ROMS directory on the F:

So example:  "Rom Directory=F:\Roms\"

All of this you should be able to do over FLASHFXP, without moving stuff to your PC HD.

Check out the Emulator forum, you can find emulator specific info there.

Just edit your evox.ini file, which you can do through FlashFXP also. Right click on it and select edit. Go down to where you see the emulators line and change the E: to an F: and delete the Apps. That is all it takes.

Old:

E:\Apps\Emulators\

New

F:\Emulators\
