Another Way To Transfer Files To Hd Besides Ftp?

You could put it on a CD-RW and use a file manager to copy it over.

It could also be a faulty install or the HD is having problems.

You should be able to just have the files on the disk. You may need to have more than the two files, the Xbox may not read it. Make a dummy file or put a large video file on there also.
