Why I Can't See The Evox.ini/default.xbe In My Folder?
« on: January 25, 2007, 07:28:00 AM »

After I got the evox dash 3935, I changed the evox.ini thing and default.xbe, I saved it on my folder C (my document). Then, either in xISO/ Craxtion I tried to open it again by: creat xiso in xISO or make iso on craxtion there is no evox.ini and default.xbe but I see there are skin/treaner etc. Another word, there are NO evox.ini and default.xbe in the root from the file that I saved previously while indeed there are there when I open it independently/separately.

Are you looking for the files on your PC or your Xbox? What did you change them to?

What are you wanting to do with them?

I just want to try with the dash 3935 itself (not the slayer/just in case if my slayer is not right).
In my xbox, there is nothing hack at all except the duo blue.(NO hack dash, NO soft Mod etc...)
I downloaded the 3935, I want to make the dash 3935 boot cd. After I changed the evox.ini and default.xbe I saved it in my doc. But I can't see the evox.ini and default.xbe on the root/my doc while I was looking on the xISO/Craxtion program, only the skin, trainer.
Do I NOT supposed to modified Evox.ini and evoxdash.xbe??? (my purpose to make the boot disc)

So, you are trying to make your own boot disk.

I would stick with Slayer's or AID. After learning more about the system, then you can tackle making your own boot/install CD.

After you get the system running using Slayer's, you can make changes to the system/IP settings if that is what you are after.

Iam getting other Hdd now, because I suspect there is something "wrong" on it.
Okay, I got the AID from "common" site the x..ns. When I installed it in the pc there are some programs on it, which one do I need to choose?

There should be an ISO file that you burn. I would have to look at what you have though.

Can you list the files and folders that you have?

There is only one iso file (I think that is the one)
Also, on the AID manual, written to open AID iso updater, is that to add the ADDON PACKS on the disc?

Yeepeeee jester.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  tongue.gif  biggrin.gif  tongue.gif
Last night I did it!! With AID!! I thought my Hdd is mess up, the fact is the slayer  fuck up.
I chosed evox dash, my question now is comeback to FTP ing thing that I put on the bottom of my pillow.
On the first page/skin, I choose the one with the Hdd information such as; Memory, Temp BUT the IP # blank.
There are some options on that home page, If I want to see my IP do I have to click the setting option? Or it supposed on the first page has the IP#.
So far seem okay, I install the DVD2xbox then bla....then play it. Something sound stpd, I am not 100% sure how can I installed the AID because I did with a heuristic/ try and error couple times till succes.
On the AID boot disk, there are some options to installed the dash; one is straight c/e/f/g etc...
another one with c dhcp/e dhcp/ f dhcp etc...
Again I  am not 100% how can I got it last night, what is DHCP?

DHCP is used to automatically assign IP addresses to different machines.

The skin you are using for Evox just doesn't show the IP address. There are thousands of skins out there for Evox. You just need to find one that suits you.

To find your IP in Evox go to system settings and look at what the setup is. If it is automatically getting an IP address, try that one. If your Router isn't set up for DHCP, manually put in an address that your system will recognize.

You can look on the computer to see what it has. Get a DOS window and type - IPconfig/all - it will show you the IP information that the PC is using. Just change the last number of the PC's IP to set up one on your Xbox. Everything else has to be the same.

Glad you got it going. Now, you will need to do a LOT of reading.

After you get FTP access, get DVD2Xbox and put it in the Apps folder on the E drive.

I did the DVD2xbox but I put it on F (because I see F is the biggest space on it/saving the games too). But actually, I really have no idea which program I have to put on F/E/C. If I wasn't  wrong, I put all on F.
Please let me know, which program I need to put on each drive?
Also, I don't have a router (do I need to buy it for the Ftping things), I have a 6e crossover cable.
My primary dash is Evox 3935. Last night, I install xbmc, unleashx, xboxtool, complex tool; All of these I put in on F, when I power on it boot on Evox then I click applicator, showed me those program.
Will I get a problem to put those thing on my F drive? Because in my "empty head" about this thing, I will get the benefit of one each other, such as; I can adjust the fan speed on xbmc, I see the network's ##s pop up when I click STATIC on the unleashx setting(in evox setting there is nothing change when I click static/Not static). Do I have to choose one dash only?
