Color Fluxuation....kind Of Annoying
« on: October 29, 2005, 08:39:00 PM »

I've been expeiencing  a srange fluxuation in the colors on my scrren lately...not the whole screen, but just parts.   It's not all that that drastic but it's really annoying.  I was wondering if anyone knows of this problem or has any idea what it could be.

It happens right from start up but it's not constant it usually levels back out for a while until it goes ape poo on me.   I have a 1.2 with a modded tsop using evox

Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried using your Xbox on a different TV than the one you're currently using?

yeah, but it's been a while, i guess i'll try that.  Also i noticed that it doesn't really do it during a game...that i have been able to see at least, its hard to notice when things are flashing about.

also...if anyone reads this, if i switch mother boards can i put my current hdd in it with the evox on it and have it work as it did or o i have to back it all up and start over?

Just make sure your HD is unlocked before switching the HD out. With no real reference as to what fluxuations in color are going on (like a picture...which can be hard to get with TVs) it's pretty tough to help other than saying "throw money at the problem, buy a new mobo, and hope the problem goes away." You might try another set of cables if you have another set or know someone else with an Xbox that would loan ya thier set.
