Accidently Deleted Original Evoxdash.xbe
« on: October 19, 2006, 06:07:00 AM »

I have a similar problem. I have an XBox modded with an Executer 3 chip. I've had XBMC running as dashboard for a while and decided it was time to upgrade to version 2 of XBMC recently.

I renamed evoxdash.xbe and the XBMC folder first then started copying over the new XBMC files. The XBox then froze halfway through the copy. Leaving me with a Xbox which boots directly to the normal Xbox dashboard only with no FTP access.

I thought OK no problem and downloaded a EvolutionX boot disk. I reckoned this would allow me to boot up the EvoX dashboard and restore FTP functionality. However it only booted to a big green X with microsoft written underneath and stopped there with both the hard disk and LAN lights blinking away continously.

I then tried installing using Slayers autoinstaller version 2.6 with the same result.

Can anyone direct me to how I can regain FTP access to my XBox?

Thanks,

Hey Din_mentor, you can FTP your xbox to your PC, make a backup of whatever data you want for your xbox in your pc, and try to rebuild (format and install) evox on your xbox. Replace whatever files you want from your PC to your xbox.

Just see whether this works.
