Is there a way to Auto Launch XBMC through the evox.ini file, I know I can do this with the bios, but I hate messing with it, i always somehow screw it up and takes me hours to figure out how to fix it.

No, you'll have to flash the chip to do that.

The evox.ini only tells EvoX where things are and what menus to show. The bios tells your box what dashboard to load.

You can make Avalaunch autoload different dashes (by using the controller buttons), but you'd still need to flash your chip.

Here. Or if you REALLY want to just add a line to your evox.ini you could add this under your menu and just choose it
CODE
Item "XBMC","f:\apps\XBMC\default.xbe"

I think you may be looking for sumthing like the XBMC Shortcut.xbe. It's intended to run XBMC as a dash but it looks like itll work for what you're doing.

Used the XBMC Shortcut, works great thanks, I already had XMBC on the main menu of evox, but i just wanted to be that much more lazy and didn't want to edit the bios. THanks for the help

If you add that line to be the first item in evox, then when the Xbox boots, just press A and it will launch XBMC.

Yea I know, but i can just put that .xbe and it does it for me, it was in my evox.ini it was even my the first one my list, but i just didn't want to press anything. but also din't want to mess with the bios. I know how to add things to my ini file, but with always using XBMC more then playing games I needed to bypass evox

you could (i used Xcommander to do this)

1. backup the evoX dashboard

2. copy the XBMC folder over to the C:\ partition (makesure the default.xbe is in the root of C)

3. rename the default.xbe to whatever the evoX.xbe was ... i think its evoxdash.xbe, but dont quote me on that

this should work, but i wont recommend it , as if you screw up your xbox it will be a pain in the arse to recover it

maybe use norton ghost (or xboxHDM) to backup your HDD before you try it
