I don't think it would be evox since the dash doesn't have any thing to do with the game running and saveing (i dont think)

but I do know (from miserable experience) that the eeprom is 256 bytes and that if there had been an error in the eeprom you would have noticed it before now

I use the Mech Asault mod with Krazies installer. Works like a champ everytime. Something I have learnt when building them is not to keep any of the T:data and U:data when I build the disc and use XBOXHD maker, just save them to the PC and upload them later threw FTP. Then just repeat the mod steps again on the new drive.

Sounds like your either using an old disc patcher or using the wrong settings. Evo X can support up to 1.2 TB (1024 gigs) in the F: partition alone with the use of XBpartitioner. You should be able to run XBp on the F:drive and recover all your lost gigs too.

Try to make sure your only using the original C: drive dash board too.

What do you have on there to burn games to the HD with? And what version. You may have to go to the usual places and get some updates.

After reading your post again, XBox HD maker is teh easyest way to go. I say delete your current upgraded HD and do it over again if you still have your disc. If it has the E/U data on the disc and you still have the file on your PC redo it over agian and leave all the E/U data off there. That way when you fire it up it will just be a bone stock HD and only show 8 gigs out of your 200gig. Then redo your mod again. Select to where all space gos to F drive only which is 66. 67 splits the drive into an F: drive and a G: drive, which Evo X has to be upgraded and tweaked to make work (Pain in the ass when all of it can be supported with F). See where that gets you.

AWD Bus do you have a way to get ahold of you ? krazies is what we was using correct

where is the data files you are talkinga bout ? i not sure if i have it ..also i did backup old drive to pc but not sure if that is correct ...

i was thinking of using slayers iso and putting his files back to the linux image to getback to stock unless there is an easier way. ... cause know i want to get back to stock to start all over and finding different wys on doing it

any help would be appreciate

You can get back to the stock drive by using XBHDMaker. It will make you a stock drive. Its the game saves that are probaly messing you up. THe T/U data usualy gave me problems when I tryed to soft mod them. Some times it would work, sometimes it would freak out. I just saved them to the PC in the folders and FTP'd them over later after all the modding was done.

The game saves are located in the E: drive (T/U data)

Also which Krazies are you using. The newest one I dont have any experence with. Im using the one before that, but cant rember which its called. The one before he included the NK patcher stuff.

You can get CASH V1.0. It will format the drives and reinstall the softmod for you. It uses Krazie's Ndure, which is what you should be using.

Another option, like has been stated before, is to leave the Udata and Tdata folders empty. I don't recommend leaving them off the drive, just create the folders and leave them blank.

When doing a softmod, I gain FTP access with the exploit. The FIRST thing I do is back up the eeprom. The SECOND thing I do is back up the C and E drives to the PC. Then I create the Xboxhdm CD with these files and build the new HD. I then put the new HD in the Xbox and run the softmod on it. That way I have an "original" HD setup in the Xbox that I run the softmod on. It also gives me the original files as a back up so if something does go wrong, I have those to rebuild a drive with.

If the stock Xbox works fine, the new HD should too.

I would FTP the C and E drives over again and make a new CD with Xboxhdm.

Rebuild the drive and try it out.

You can get stock C from another Xbox or Slayer's CD. The E drive to be stock, needs a Udata, Tdata and Cache folder. I would put the Krazie's Ndure in the Udata so you can just load a game and run it after you verify the HD is back to stock.

Load it on the f: drive, use Avalaunch or XBMC to launch the default.xbe and click around on the F: drive till you see around 190gigs there and follow the instructions (I think its the Y button")

also i was looking around and was wondering is there a way to get info on my pc ..the mech assualt exploit from pc to computer ..i just had a friend copy it from his xbox to mine ...but i wanted to ssee if a way to get it to a non modded xbox cause it is no longer on my new xbox i just bought modding for a friend ...

sorry for all the questions but thanks a bunch ...I cant wait to see if I get a huge drive now ....

also i seen usb jump drive to xbox ? thinking about making one or buying the cable ...looks like it would work but heard you plug to pc and formats again ..any way to stop that

You will lose all info on the F drive. But you will free up 67gigs too (200 gig right).

You have to use Avalaunch or XBMC (they have a way to look at each file were Evo X does not) to launch XBPartition's "default.xbe". It wont pop up like a game or app, which it shouldnt anyway. If you leave it on the box and somebody screws around with it, then Poof gos all your work.

Avalaunch and Xbox Media Center are other Dashboards. I recomend gettting them and loading them on your xbox. If anything just XBMC, but I like to load both. Avalaunch is smaller and will load faster if your just gonna use them one time.

The "default.xbe" is the launching program of all xbox files. You want to fire off a game/app, then you click the "default.xbe" of the file, and it will start up.

Im not really for sure what you mean on teh third question, but if its what I think your asking, you can put the expolit in threw FTP. I just use an Xbox memory card to put them on boxs. Just copy the game save in the memory, then fire up the game to run the xploit.

Questions is how you learn. We were all there at one time or another.

I have no clue on the USB jump drives. I do know llamma.com used to make them for a decent price.

so i just install avalaunch and then it replaces the mod i have now ? or can i switch back and forth ?

well i am having trouble ..i have the new xbox and new drive old xbox drive with the ms dashboard and i try to ftp to it and cant do it .... causei just want to move exploit over and start it or move to xbox and then to memory card to keep it there ..but dont know how cause it will not let me ftp ...i have the right settings and everything ...

any ideas ?
