Looked Through All Forums Need Hdtv Help Asap
« on: April 13, 2005, 10:13:00 AM »

I just bought a new 27 inch Panasonic High Definition Television CT-27HL14 it supports 480p and 1080i.  I also bought the High Def XBOX Cables.  the TV recognizes the difference between standard definition and high definition signals and allows you to switch.  I have the XBOX plugged in and have played doom3 and halo2 and i can never switch to High definition within the television.  I can't get to my standard MS dash but I'm running the EVOX dash right now.

Is there anything i have to do to get the games to play in 480p?

Should the TV be giving me the option to switch to HD mode if I am running in 480p?

Also, i just downloaded dvdx2 and can't open the ISO file to edit the hex code for progressive playing on DVDs.  do i need an xbox ISO extracter?

i've done all my modding using these forums and never had to post before please help alternate e-mail address [email protected] [email protected]

thank you

You need the MS Dash to turn on 480p and 1080i.  You'll need to fix the install of  your XBOX to do that.  It should be setup that if you disable your modchip (to go on Live for example) it boots to the MS Dash if there isn't a game disc in it.

I had a similar problem. What you do is take the green component and put it in the standard yellow composite input and boot up your Xbox to the defaul MS dash. Then you go to Settings>Video>and then enable 480p and 1080i. Reboot, and its done.
