Q : I went onto the 'official' evox site and its down? I'm guessing there is still a few places to get EvoX, but where?
Evox is downloadable from Xbins, a repository for most Xbox homebrew applications. Follow the guide in my signature to find out how to access it.

Q : Is there a risk when installing EvoX to my xbox? such as screwing it up or what not? If I do screw it up.. is it easy to fix?
It depends on how your Xbox is modded. Usually, most softmod installers will automatically install Evox as the dashboard, but if you want to install a modchip in your Xbox, you need to transfer Evox to your Xbox manually, using FTP.

If you do mess up, either when installing the softmod or transferring Evox to your Xbox, it's fairly easy to correct any problems that come up.

Q : Is EvoX hard to install? Such as abunch of coding and what not?
No, Evox is not hard to install. At its hardest, it might bring up mild frustration, but it's overall quite easy to do.

Q : Once I have EvoX on my xbox, where can I get the trainers?
Google search for 'evox trainers', and you'll be treated to a hoard of sites that host trainers  smile.gif

Q : What kind of trainers are there for halo 2? Superspeed, high jump, stuff like that?
You pretty much have guessed it. One of the better trainers lets you jump higher, have infinite sword range, and change Master Chief's size, just to name a few.

Q : Whats the latest version of EvoX and what kind of stuff do I need to do to install it?
The latest version of Evox is build 3935. To install it, you'll need an FTP program, and WinRAR (an archiving utility). I recommend both FlashFXP and SmartFTP as your FTP program.

Q : If I want to turn off my trainers.. can I do that? without uninstalling EvoX?
Yes. Trainers are enabled and disabled via a menu within Evox.

Q : Is EvoX the best thing for training?
It's all a matter of opinion, but if you like the ease of adding more trainers for a game, and the quickness of enabling and disabling the trainer, then Evox is right for you.

Softmodding gives your Xbox almost all of the features of a modchipped one, but you can do it for free. For example, this thread shows you how to softmod your Xbox by hotswapping, which doesn't cost a dime to do.

If you do decide to go along the softmodding route, then you won't need the Evox package that you've downloaded. Evox will automatically be installed by XboxHDM.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry to ask this.... but could someone link me to a good tutorial on how to install/setup EvoX. Is EvoX3935 all I need to get started training?

What is with slayer's auto-installer thing?

I've looked at abunch of different stuff, it all looks very confusing.

We can't give you a direct link.  But, Check out this tutorial.
This will help you get to a place that gives you everthing you need for Xbox modding.
You can get Evox or softmods from where that tutorial helps you get, Xbins.

As for Cenoix, what kind of mod do you have / plan on using?  Softmod?  Modchip?  TSOP flash?  Have you modded your Xbox yet?

Slayers Evox Autoinstaller Installs many applications for you, such as Xbox Media Center, Evolution X, Avalaunch (another dashboard), Emulators, DVD2Xbox, PxHDD Loader, DVDX Region Free, and other applications.  Of course, you must first have your Xbox modded to boot this disc.

I think the easiest way to get Evox (and trainers) running on your Xbox is explained by the thread I linked to in this post, especially if you don't own an Action Replay.

You allready have the EVOX file?
If so then the next thing you should do is to well...mod the xbox. either by softmodding or installing a chip, such  a Xecuter, SmartXX, Duox, etc(many more to choose from)
by "modding" the box youll be able to then load a Dashboard, EVOX in this case, since now the xbox can read other stuff other than signed xbox discs and enables it to ftp apps or programs from your PC into the Xbox HardDrive....programs that will enable you to do all the cool stuff you have been reading about.

Ok but the first thing you have to do is to read, alot I might add, your in the right place...you just have to read and gain some knowledge...It took me a few weeks of a lot of reading and searching till now I have a succesfully modded xbox since a few days ago(2 actually)

best of luck
remember...read!
then only then ask here in the forums if you have any doubts!
pece later

Cant I just make it .iso so my xbox will read it?

Hmm.. forget it. This stuff is to complicated for me....
