Which BIOS are you using? Which partition did you install EvoX on? Seems as though that you maube using a bios that is booting the C partition and you have installed evoX on E partition. I would check into either A)reinstalling slayers onto C drive(<-easier dont have to open Xbox)
B)Flash BIOS that uses the E drive(<-might have to open Xbox)

Make sure you check which BIOS you are using first before doing these things though.

Well as far as topic goes you can ask a mod to close it. As far as the EvoX install goes I would check the Modchip alignment and D0 point.

If it does boot your backups I would try reinstalling using Slayers then. When it asks then install to your C drive with any option you choose. I also have another Auto-installer that you could use for you to try PM me. Also make sure you use the right media and everything I am well aware you more than likely know this already!

i tried reinstalling, but still nothing, as if it only boots the msdash, it has nothing to do with the bios, does it? and i see with flashfxp, that all the files neccesary are on the c, but still it loads the msdash with this pink evox logo in the corner

You do have alot of choices but I would check into a new bios. Thats the only problem i could see is thats why it wont boot evox. I would read a few tuts on the XBtool and Xecutor Bioses.

Ok now i opened my box, and with the system from the front page i figured out that i have a 1.6ver xbox, but now i dont know what chip i have....it says alladin3 on the big chip thingy and xilinix on the small one. And what bios i should choose from the slayers 2.6 menu

too late. flashed with the m8 bios from slayers...and now my chip doesnt boot...it only boots msdash...now what:(

You sure you used the M8 1.6 Bios? Only reason I ask is because there are 2 different versions. One for 1.0-1.5 and one is for 1.6. As far as I know the only bios that works on a 1.6 is the M8. You might need either A)To buy the external prgrammer to fix it B)Find someone in the area that will let you do a hotflash of your chip on their chipped Xbox. But like I said there ALOT of tutorials around about the Aladdin and the v1.6. You sure it doesnt boot? Try the slayer's disc again.

Im sure, if i hold the power button to activate the chip, it powers on and then off again.....im going to have a new alladinxt installed in december...because i dont have a programmer, and anyone in this area to hotswap, i know i made a stupid mistake and flashed the bios from the slayers disc, i think i´ll never mess with any bios again, i killed my motorola with the bios installing a few months ago:P i have no luck

Do you have an old PC motherboard that you could possibly hotflash the chip using Uniflash?

Yes if you do get a new chip all will be fine and dandy. Also You will be able to restore the old one that your mentioning in this post.

Anyways, before you flash the new chip make sure you use a proper bios and use Evtool and Xbtool. They are your friends. Might want to check into finding out your Xbox version also so you dont end up flashing the wrong bios again.
