Umm... im not really sure i just have to boxes so i dont have to mess around like this... Is it softmodded? because cant u just rename the msxboxdash.xbe or msdash.xbe back to xboxdash.xbe? then delete all the other stuff.

But I have no clue what the files are that are modded. I tried deletig some modded looking stuff, but it screwed it up and the only thing I could do is install Ltools and EVOX onto my harddrive again using the Mechassault gamesave exploit. SO, i was wondering if there is a file list or a possible uninstaller or something. Like the exact files the XBOC came with or something.

A. Why are you removing your mod?

B is it worth messing up missing one file and making your xbox a brick untill you get a chip or do a hotswap,

c. Why in gods name do you kids mod your xboxes if you jsut want o go an unmod them?

--Maybe if you had realized I DID read your first post you would have realized why I was asking what you were thinking. If you wanted on live why not use a soft mod package that can... Have you tried cold booting...

Now if you are already banned then you will need a new eeprom any way. I was being serious about my questions. Also do you know if your softmod has live blocking bios in it? That would explain the whole skipping the connecting part.

Also have you considered other alternatives like FREE online gaming. Xlink/xbc. I know that is not stated above, but really I say screw live.

As for restoring your xbox to original condition then you will need to format c and reinstall the dash over again. (slayers) But i really cant help you that much from there. However my questions still stand why mod your box jsut to remove it? Sounds like pissing in the water well to me.

Plus you kinda did this to yourself by not backing up your hard drive.

#edit : What do you mean by "Basic mod" Modchip? Tsop split on 1.0?

Plz, I kinda need help, and Everestx wuz inda helping me, but then I guess he gave up or something. But watever. I just need to have like a filelist of where evox installs on your harddrive, or I need to know if this slayers thing can let you play online!

I think all the things that EverestX said was true. I'm not here to critisize you, dont get me wrong.

I will try my best to help you out. I need to know 3 questions:
1. Are you using a different bios than the original one?
2. How do you access evox? do you need to go through the original dash, or does evox just pop up when you turn on the xbox?
3. Do you mind if all your savedata and music is gone in the process of removing evox?(you can always back it up

its hard to say i installed evox on my hd and i coulnd connect after that so theres
gotta be a file in evox stopping it from connecting on live

and if your banned it still goes onto xbox live you just cant play matchmaking
you can play custom games
when your banned when you try and matchmake it quits out ans says 1 or more
acounts have been banned from matchmaking

OK, I have had a few people say to me elsewhere that it sounds like to them that my dashboard files are corrupt. So, what im guessing I need now is somewhere to find the original xbox dashboard files. Of coarse no eeprom or hd kep, but i need the original files. Anyone know where I can pick those up?
