Linking Msdash To Evox
« on: August 24, 2005, 06:25:00 PM »

Hi there, I'm a n00b...anyway, I just installed evoX dash and bios today using the splintercell software hack.

It's great, but the only issue is I want to be able to get into my MSdash to change audio and video options like progressive scan. "MS Dashboard" isnt selectable after a default install of EvoX.

In my Xbox's C: directory, I have evoxdash.xbe and xboxdash.xbe.
Pointing the evox.ini file to "xboxdash.xbe" as the MS dash location results in the link being inactive.

I tried copying the backup Xbox dash (from the E:\backup\MS directory) to the C: root directory, and renaming it msxboxdash.xbe, then pointing evox.ini to that. The link worked, but when my xbox booted i got error 21.

I also tried pointing evox.ini to the backup's location, where it was still named xboxdash.xbe. This also resulted in the link not working.

Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for the help, adn sorry if this has been addressed already - I did some forum searching and googling and came up emptyhanded.
