Ms Wireless Adapter With Evox Softmod
« on: July 27, 2005, 11:37:00 AM »

I recently got my xbox softmodded with the evolutionx dashboard and want to set up a wireless network. I bought a Trendnet TEW-431BRP wireless router first. It worked fine using the ethernet cable to connect. I just got an MS wireless adapter and the trouble I am running into is that when I run the installation cd from the MS dash I get error 21 message.

I have searched around for a solution and have not been able to find any.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a workaround for this problem.

Thanks in advance

Disable your softmod and run the installation CD again. Either disable it using Krayzie's EEE or uninstall it and then reinstall it when your done.

When you disable or remove the softmod it will boot to the MS Dash. You can get to the MS Dash by running either Xboxdash.xbe or MSDash.xbe on the C drive. I don't know if you can install the wireless adapter there or if the softmod needs to be out of the picture.

Make sure you copy your eeprom.bin file to the PC first. You should also copy the C and E drives if you haven't done so.
