Tranfering Games Via Ftp.

Hi, I was wondering how to do that. If there any program I need? Could I perhaps save it as an ISO with DVD Decrypter then send it to a particular folder. Thanks for reading, and help will be appreciated.  :D

just put the folder the game files are in to games folder in xbox.

Okay, does it need to be organized in anyway? Such as naming the folder with the game content, then transfer the folder from the PC to the Xbox? Also, from your answer I also assume that you can in fact save an ISO on the computer and then transfer it over, would that be correct?

As for the piracy, THDVL, you would be smelling bullshit. Actually, the used Xbox I bought cannot seem to read all discs I would like to backup. I tried doing it for Halo 2 yesterday so I wouldn't have to bring all my stuff to my friend's LANparty.

If your DVD drive is dead, then you can't backup games with ftp. Yes you can transfer ISO's from your computer to your Xbox, but the only way to get those ISO's (apart form illegally downloading them) is to ftp them from the original disc. But since your DVD drive is dead, then that's not an option.

But assuming you have a working DVD drive you can throw in there, you can just use DVD2xbox to rip it to the HDD.

If you have the Iso on your pc get a programme called craxtion. Use this programme to extract the contents of the Iso into a folder, then transfer the folder to your xbox either using the option in craxtion or by getting an ftp app such as Flashfxp. HTH

Well, my DVD drive isn't dead, it just doesn't seem to work very well. It only seems to be able to rip some games (or for that matter, play only some games). I was wondering, though, can I install a new DVD drive? I heard that you can and even read some of the tutorials here, but they seem to say that they can't read Xbox discs or something? If install a new one with one of the tutorials here as a guide, would my Xbox retain all of its functionality?

Also, I am checking out the Craxtion thing right now.
