S-video?

OKay, apparently you can buy different set of av's with an s-video end on one of the plugs.. I was curious if I can use that since i have "CHARTER" for my TV, and it's on the back of my charter cabel box?, and if I can what's it going to do for me?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking so excuse my answer if it doesn't address what you're asking.

If your TV also has an S-Video connector port, then connecting the cable box and the TV with an S-Video cable will give a better picture quality than composite, but still not as good as component or digital video.

okay, thanks dude... cause i just thought... since i have that input on my charter box "S-VIDEO" that I can hook that up and with the 3 av's just plug those into my vcr, and play? and get a better picture.. A few days ago.. i was looking for an HDTV READY TV, so i can get the xbox on HD, I'm unsure if it has to be HD READY, or Just plain HD TV... I'm looking for a tv in like the 20 to 27" range.. maybe a flat one for the wall.. found some nice ones.. for like 2 to 3 hundried.. unsure if it's HD, or HD ready... What's the difference between HD READY, and HD..???

I'm not completely sure on this situation, but I believe a HD-ready TV doesn't come with a HDTV tuner (meaning you have to buy a separate box to watch HDTV channels).  If it's a HDTV,you can just plug in the TV and watch HDTV channels without a separate box.

As far as your Xbox (or any other HD enabled device like a PS2 or DVD player), you can use it on a HD ready TV without a separate box (just get the component cables).

If anyone who understands the topic better things anything I've said is wrong, please feel free to correct me. ;)

EDIT: Also, can you give us a link to these TV's you found? I'm pretty sure you won't find any HDTV for less than $400 (that's the lowest price I've seen, it was on Bestbuy.com)
