Ftp Problem
« on: June 18, 2005, 12:45:00 AM »

FlashFXP began doing this to me when I upgraded to version 3.0.2 build 1045.  Tried all the setting in the options.  Switch to CuteFTP and it works in EVOX just Flash has stopped working.  Switch over to Avalaunch or UnleashX and Flash works perfectly fine.

Going to try the Scene customized version of FlashFXP to see if that helps me out any.

Will let you know the outcome Wholesaler

Dude, it really sounds like a firewall issue.  Make sure you have xp firewall disabled, plus any other things disabled (blackice, norton internet security, zonealarm, certain popup blockers) then try again...

To enable or disable Internet Connection Firewall (win xp)

1.Open Network Connections (Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double–click Network Connections)
2.Click to select the Dial–up, LAN or High–Speed Internet connection that you want to protect/unprotect (in your case Lan)
3.In the task pane on the left, under Network Tasks, click Change settings of this connection
4.On the Advanced tab, under Internet Connection Firewall, select one of the following:
•To enable Internet Connection Firewall (ICF), select the Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet check box.
•To disable Internet Connection Firewall, clear the Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet check box. This disables the firewall, your computer and network are then vulnerable to intrusions.

Get a cross over cable or make one and bypass your router all together.  If it works its your router.
