Ftp Problem?
« on: May 24, 2005, 12:49:00 PM »

I have the same problem! Yesterday everything worked fine with flashFXP, didn't do any changes, except for switching the switches for bank1/2, protect etc.

This is what I see:

WinSock 2.0
Connecting to 192.168.2.102
Connected to 192.168.2.102 -> IP=192.168.2.102 PORT=21
220-
220----------------------------------------------------------------------------
220-XBFileZilla version 1.4, (based on FileZilla Server 0.8.8)
220-
220-http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbfilezilla/
220----------------------------------------------------------------------------
220
421 Login time exceeded. Closing control connection.
Connection failed
Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1

Cant rememeber I saw the text about XBFileZilla before........

But I go search some more through the forums, maybe I find something........

I wonder if anybody has ever solved this problem, first time this has happend to me and it ain't service pack and my firewall because i was running flashfxp after sp2 thingy was released. I wonder if something is conflicting with it and can't display right. i'm searching google and this forum it seems others have had this problem.

I'm also searching but so fsar I didnt find anything useful.
Only thing which I did is connecting another xbox to my router with the same ip, my xbox was disconnected at that time. That was yesterday, and today after I moved everything back it wasnt working anymore.

Strange......

stoney boy: post in the right forum ... you have an xbmc problem with ftp

all the rest ... ive had the same problem with flashfxp
i think its some kind of incompatibilty between evox and flashfxp (maybe a specific version ... dunn)

but i found a solution

use internet explorer to ftp with evox

use this:  ftp://xbox:[email protected]

i hope this will help you

Kill any services you may have running along the lines of Zone Alarm and Anti-Hacker, these stop the dir from listing, even if you have allowed for them. Never had any other odd probs with other than this with ftp clients. If this is not the case for you then you could try to ftp in from xbmc rather than evox/ava.

Manu: I just searched for simulair problems, didn't even come up in me that it could be a xbmc problem :-) So sorry for that.  That it could be a xbmc problem could be right because when I started up with a evox boot disk with dhcp enabled I was able to connect again.  But what the problem could be now.... I have no clue, I will upload xbmc again and see if that helps..... Although it's strange that it just quit working, didn't do anything with the xbox....

Stoney_boy: its possible xbmc gives another ip to ftp
so verify wich ip it gives you and coonect with your ftp client to that ip
