Using Hi Def And A Vga Monitor...
« on: May 13, 2005, 10:07:00 AM »

Folks, I was curious. I have a VGA converter, the NEO something, that allows you to play XBOX games in any setting 480P/720p/and 1080i thru my Sony 19inch VGA monitor.

The problem I am having is that in order for this to actually work with the Evolution software, I need to SET the actual MS DASHBOARD Video settings 480P, 720P and 1080i  to ON in the MS Dashboard section.  ( for some reason, the VIDEO settings in the Evolution dashboard detect this VGA converter as a HiDef pack/cable and turn on all HiDef settings to YES but dont actually display in High Res)

However, I was able to successfully get the Monitor to switch to Hi Definition/Resolution by changing these settings in the VIDEO section of the MS DASHBOARD screen but my problem is that I cant seem to figure out how to SAVE these settings and exit out of the MS Dashboard to get back into the Evolution dashboard or start a game.  If I just turn OFF the XBOX after I change these settings in the MS DASHBOARD, they seem to reset back to NO the next time I boot up the XBOX and I am forced to go thru the entire ritual again.

Is there anyway I can SAVE my XBOX DASHBOARD SETTINGS to 1080i/720P modes permanently?

thanks
