First of all I have a chip in my xbox, its v1.6 with a 120gb hd. Wondering since I installed the new harddive and used slayers 2.6, will that mean the origianl xbox wont start when i turn my chip off. Because when I turn my chip off to play a regular game on live I get an error. Im hoping there is a way to play live for the regular games that i had. I did back up my original hard drive...

Well you did a big "no no" by installing the new drive and attempting to logon Xbox live with it. Right now you will need to buy a new eeprom (check the BST for one) use config Magic Final to install it over your existing EEprom and THEN and only then will you be able to get back onto Xbox live. Read up on "The marriage theory" about how Xbox live bans users.

MS checks either HD sizes, or HD serial numbers now when you connect to live...i woudl DEFINAZTELY put back your old HD when going on live..ive heard of ALOT of people being banned with upgraded HD's with their modchips off...i remove my modchip just in case, i heard with 1.6 xboxes they send signals to the LPC to check for chips....i dont know if this is true, but i dont wanna risk it...it takes me about a minute to unplug my chip and put in my old HD
