Ejecting Game Question

When i play a game from a disk with the modchip on, and eject the game, it will freeze.  My question is:  Is there anyway to fix this so it boots back to the dashboard without needing to power off the xbox?

i hit the start and back buttons and hold triggers to go to dash anytime

what is loaded on your box only certain dashes do this i think. Mine sure doesnt just gotta restart it, i wouldnt strain over it considering switching from the game to the dash would take as much time as pushing the power button twice.
