my eject button works sometimes.  the light around it will flash green when i push it most of the time and i can hear a popping sound from the dvd drive as if it's trying to open but can't.  if i push the eject button over an over again, the tray will open eventually and then i have audio and video on my television.  what is this exact problem?  and could someone please help me?

Have you taken the power/eject assembly out/apart recently?  Sounds like a bad connection somewhere.

yes, i've even put in a new power/eject assembly and it still does the same thing.  my roommate had it before he got a new one and i think that it overheated once and that may have something to do with it.  i don't know.
