Make sure your file names are less then 32 chars.  Make sure there is NO commas or anyother funny chars.

Not trying to be an asshole but look around more.  Ive personally answered this more times then I care to count.

Nah dude, I can't even establish the connection.

Like the file list doesn't come up, it gets stuck while trying to list the directory.

And I have searched the forums thoroughly and can't seem to find the problem.

Why would it work in XBMP and not in evox?

I am having the exact same problem as doggfather.  I was able to FTP to my xbox a few months ago.  I don't know if windows update SP2 has anything to do with it, but this seems to be the only thing that I have done to my PC lately.  Anyone have any ideas?

A co-worker of mine suggested that when I turn on my xbox, that I should go into the xbox media player program to ftp instead of simply sitting on the main dashboard screen.  He swears that it ftp's faster than on the main evox dashboard screen.  Can anyone confirm this?  I'll try it when I get home from work today.

Dunno if it's faster or not but xbmp/xbmc allow you to use pasv mode.
Needed for Fxp'ing i.e. xbox to xbox (might need to edit the config xml file with xbmp or settings with xbmc)

Any1 else had probs with file transfers after sp2 update?? 3rd or 4th time some1's mentioned that lately.  (might be something connected)

For those having probs connecting. Check tutorials, cable types, i.p addy's etc...
Reinstall ftp program etc...

Yea seems like a firewall on the pc blocking the connection... check the winxp firewall or any other 3rd party one you may have.

I had ZoneAlarm plus the Windows Firewalls up.  Once I disabled both of these everything worked perfectly.
