Audio Setting Gone
« on: October 09, 2004, 03:06:00 PM »

I just got a new home theater set up and want to hook my Xbox up to it. I have Neyo X2VGA that has a digital audio out.

I should just be able to plug in my adapter and then go into the settings>>Audio>>Dolby Digital 5.1 in the MS Dash.

Problem is that there is no "Audio" button on my when I have my adapter plugged in. ItÂ’s just gone, not available, non-existent.

So, I unplugged my adapter and hooked it up as usual to the TV and wala the audio settings menu was back.

Why is this happening!?

As far as I can tell whenever I plug in my adapter my audio button is disabled and my Xbox is not in 5.1 modes because my surround sound DOES NOT WORK.

I have tried putting my xbox in 5.1 mode when I can see the audio menu, but these settings don't seam to stick once I plug in my X2VGA.

Thanks for you help...
