I have two .xbe's on C:.  One is called xboxdash.xbe and it's 1.56mb, which I assume is the M$ dash.

The other .xbe is called default.xbe.  It's 680KB.  That, I assume is evox's .xbe.

That said, why is it still booting to the M$ dash?

Any help would be appreciated.

you need to have an evoxdash.xbe - doesn't sound like Evox is installed all the way.

So there's more to installing Evox than just putting the deafult.xbe and evox.ini on c:/

??

Thanks.

Where in the evox.ini is evoxdash.xbe referenced?

Or should it not be?

Just renaming it causes my xbox to boot the flubber sequence over and over and over until I put a disc in.  Strange.  I've never seen that.

I'm so close...

Here's some more info

Bios 4983.67
XBOX Version V1.0 Phillips

This is frustrating.  No matter what, w/ no disc, I get a looped flubber intro.

My problem free modded xbox has default.xbe for evox and xboxdash.xbe for M$ and it works flawlessly.

Well, it's not a total wash...  It plays backups just fine.  I think today will be the day I explore other dashboards...

Avalaunch works great.  Ugly, but functional...

I'll tinker w/ EvoX some more, but this'll do for now.
