Rename The default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe And Ftp It With The Ini File To Your C: But Check The Ini File And Set Your Options. And The Rest Of The Folders Also.

ok #1 your shit is old.

#2 All X2 chips need a 1mb rom to work the best, you can have 512K x2 for 1mb, for instance, I used X2BM to compile a 256k rom image into banks 1 and 2, this will be the first half (x2lite style, x2pro can have 4 256k's) then flash somthing else to the other 512k, or just use x2bm, drop the 256k file into all 4 banks and say save, give it a name, copy that to the c\bios folder on the xbox, if its not there make the folder,

edit your evox.ini file and add this line somewhere..

Item "Flash BIOS",@1

exatly as it is, I have also included the md5's for you so your stuff will know what rom your using,  as far as evox goes, just replace the evoxdash.xbe file with your newer one,

REBOOT and your new items will be in your menu, then you can flash straight from the dash,  when a new bios comes out , just plop it in the c: bios folder and your ready to go ,

bios files only go into the bios folder, the others go on the c or f drive, when you built your hd depending if you chose C boot or F boot, as some bios only boot from C and some C/F

its not that bad, follow my instructions and you will be fine.

the evoxdash.xbe is evox , replace this file and it will update to that version, thats it, you can keep your orig ini file so your menu's dont get messed up, personally I redo my own evox.ini but thats your call.

yup, rename the orig evoxdash.xbe to evoxdash.xbe.old then copy over your new one and reboot, thats it.

Done!  That was simple enough.  Now for the bios.....

From what I understand, I have to copy the newest bios I downloaded to the c: of the xbox, then reflash it.  But I dont see a flash option within evox....

Any idea on this one?

oh yeah, if your games still dont run correctly, use DVD2Xbox as your copier, dont use the PXHdldr as its buggy and dont patch games, use dvd2xbox5.5 (its in the usuall spot) and youll be fine, it auto patches xbe's for you.

did you compile a 1mb bios? if no then you better  do that first.

use X2bm (xecuter2 bios manager) you can get it from the xecuter site, or here I believe.

compile the image, save it , copy to c:\ bios then add the line I posted with the Md5 checksums into your evox.ini, then reboot, scroll through your menu's untill you find the flash bios, hit A , then you will see your filename ( make sure the write protect switch is off) then hit A, it will say what version chip and all then hit Y to flash, it will auto erase, write then power down, if it does then your good, if you screw up , you have a coaster.
