Im new to all of this and have got a question that is probably going to sound stupid....so please dont trash me. When you configure the Evo.ini file, is it possible add more games and applications without having to re-configure the file. I just go my mod-chip in today.... :D

You Don't To Do None To The Ini File Just Tell Your Ini That Your Games Are In The F: Or G: When Using Larger Hdd Or Using Stock Hdd In The E:, The Ini Comes With The Config That Searches For The Games In The F: And G: Games Folder.

I don't use the generic sections to add software to Evox.ini.  I only use sections to group files.  ;)

I specifically spell out each piece of software that I want to run in EvolutionX with a separate item line in the evox.ini file.  This let's me change the title of the application to whatever I want without having to muck with programs that modify the XBE files.  ;)

All of my applications entries are something like:

Launch Homebrew Applications
         Launch XBox Media Center
         Launch XBox Media Player
         ...

Launch Homebrew Emulators
Launch Arcade (MAMEX) Homebrew Emulator 1
Launch Arcade (MAMEoX) Homebrew Emulator 2
         ...
Launch Nintendo (FCEUltra) Homebrew Emulator (...)

Launch Homebrew Games
         Launch Game 1
         ....

Launch Retail Games
         ...

Also every applications, emulators, or games folder name contains the version number of that application, emulator or game on my XBox.

But, I'm a control freak as per my wife and people I work with.  ;)

Oh yeah... I almost forgot, I also have an entry called:

Launch All Vipers

This entry starts the widescreen Battlestar Galactica Sensenssaround movie from the original series.  ;)

Because you asked me to in a private message, I thought I'd share some of the menu section of my evox.ini file.  I have only removed movies and other video that I have on there for the purposes of saving space in this message and keeping that information private.  ;)

Here it is in case you want to do something similar.  The beauty of using separate "Item" lines for each menu entry is that you do not have to muck with the XBE files to call the menu entry exactly what you want to.

use a category 5 network cable. it uses an RJ-45 plug. They can be found at pretty much any electronics store or you can make your own for pretty cheap. make sure that you have a network card in your computer (its the one with a jack that looks like the phone one except bigger). if you already have the card installed and your evox.ini configged right it should work fine.

I checked on the back of my pc and Ihave got the place to put one of those RJ-45 cables..so I bought one. I configured the evo.ini file the way Mr. Robinson said in his tutorial and went into my computer , control panel, and then clicked on network to configure the IP for the network. When I clicked on that and checked in the confirguration the only one I seen I could configure was
TCP/IP -> EN1207D-TX PCI 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter so I clicked on that one and configured all of the settings like are in the tutorials. I hooked the Xbox to my PC and I tried to ping it.....no luck. I have tried just about everything.
