AND WOULD UPGRADING 2 3953 HELP?

post your evox.ini  section "misc"!
AND post your c:\ drive(xbox)

some of the xbox files missing in your c drive
get slayers 2.5 and update your msdash
should be ok

MSDashBoard = "c:\msxboxdash.xbe".
and change orginal xboxdash.xbe name to msxboxdash.xbe!
but remember to keep (default.xbe(evox)) as xbox dash.xbe or else you wouldn`t be able to load dash at all.

sorry, my bad, i jumped to some conclusion here.
1. keep your orginal xboxdash as xboxdash.xbe and evox as evox.xbe.
2. and  MSDashBoard = "c:\xboxdash.xbe" is correct
3. if everything is set right then your box would boot right. if not, there must be something wrong elswhere : check that you haven`t deleted any files in c:\ belonging to orginal xboxdash!

This problem reminded me so much of an earlier problem i had, sorry for causing any trouble sad.gif

patch up your current msdash files with msdash update with slayers 2.5 auto

I HAVE DONE THAT ALREADY.
I'LL SAY IT AGAIN M$DASH WORKS FINE WITHOUT MY CHIP ON SO I DONT THINK ANY PROBLEM WITH FILES MISSING OR CORRUPT. I REPEAT M$DASH IS FINE WITH CHIP OFF AND DIRECT BOOT 2 IT, BUT IF I BOOT WITH CHIP ON AND TRY TO ENTER THE M$DASH FROM EVOX IT GOS TO THE MSDASH BUT AS SOON AS I PRESS UP OR DOWN TO MAKE A MENU SELECTION IT FREEZES. I TRYED UPGRADING TO EVOX 3953 I HAVE REPAIRED THE DASH WITH SLAYERS I HAVE TRYED ALOT OF THINGS B4 I TRYED THESE FORUMS I AM SUPRISED NOBODY HAS HAD IT HAPPEN TO THEM. I AM STILL ASSUMING IT IS A EVOX BUG TILL SOMEONE CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE.

What I can see is that few of your xbox xft files is either corrupted or missing.


Try this first
AutoLaunchAudio = Yes
set this to no
AutoLaunchGames = No
set this to yes
reboot and see what happens after you try again at the Evox MsDash

Perhaps you format the whole hardrive and reinstall again
