here are my thoughts...
evox = stable... limited features
avaluanch = everything good except i dont want acam... and i think a more graphical interface would be nice
mxm = had problems with skins... and takes longer than other dashes to load
unleashx = i like except i seemed to have apps freezing alot

Do you think they'll make the next Evox dashboard like the others having the high tech skins?

MxM builds its own .ini file. The first thing it does on a new install is searches the HDD and builds its .ini. pretty sweet and easy.

thc is pretty, but lacks much in functionality.  (no ftp? = useless for me)  Not to mention the setup is a pain in the ass,  I dont want a stupid gui fumbling with xpad, I want a freakin .ini  or XML config file.

I use UnleashX,  because I am a 'power user'.  here are the features I love about it :

-built in text editor/usb keyboard support.  edit my .ini files directly intstead of thru ftp
-nice built in file manager with keyboard support
-great ftp server built in
-start/stop FTP or network,   plus open/close dvd drive
-skins are awesome and -much- better than anything evox can dream of. (fonts, high res, etc)
-analog joystick support in menus == fast scrolling thru that list of 50 installed games
-stable as evox for me
-preview thumbnail of games plus game movie intros

i tried avalaunch, but the skins for me weren't as good as unleash, plus it felt buggier and locked up occasinally (esp. if u try to do the auto update)

I think once THC has a solid built in FTP,  and a reasonable configuration ability and easier way to switch colors, and game preview thumbs I might use it,  and boot into unleashx to use some of its power features when I need them
