Eeprom Needs Work But I Cant See!?!
« on: August 08, 2004, 11:58:00 AM »

oh jesus im on week like 3 here without video and running out of past posts that might have helped solve this.

i dont post unless i have to ( too much talkie) but check this out..

messing with xbmp in HD last it worked.. all the sudden i reboot after i made changes in xbmp settings and no video.. tried each video cable in my huge pile of different connectors.. nothing.. I CAN FTP and hear the boot up sounds however i cant see any menu's to do any good

tried to embed eeprom in xbtool but nomatter where i put that eeprom.bin file , its still greyed out on the menu. there are no step by steps on getting that checkbox ungrayed out..

configmagic would be great if it worked.. i burned it to cd , booted from it and hear the sounds of the program but when i keep hitting a (ive tried this a million times) button it stops at some point and doesnt actually end up flashing eeprom.

i guess i need step by step button commands to get that eeprom / bios flashed?!

THAAANKS!

not gettin any love?  sucks.  If I knew how I'd help ya.

Here is a stupid idea.  It sounds like youre messin around with HD.  So you have the M$ High Def pack or something.  Why not switch to the normal A/V pack, cross your fingers and hope you see something in Standard Def (SD)??

then again, I'm just a newb.

sounds like you switched NTSC/PAL

Do a search for a video switcher disk. It is a boot disk that boots your box and switches the video setting back.

Hope this helps...

thats because you are using a bios that doesnt support it...u will need a bios to be at least 4981 to work....

if it still does not work, try checking the link on my sig...
