DITTO exactly, cept I'm using video skins.  My non-video skins load everything flawlessly.  My video skins were loading apps fine until they decided not to.  Now I hang everytime I try to load a program.  By the way, I'm using UnleashX as a dash.

seems like your dash is messing with you, are you sure got all the files in the right places, no extra folders of any kind showing up here and there. all the right path are set right...

Just had a friend bring his back it is doing the same thing and it is a v1.4 MB with a 120GB drive it loads some apps but won’t load configmagic or any games. I have done over 20 Xboxes and this is the 1st I have seen of this. I am currently reformatting the whole thing. I don’t know what was/is wrong. I could ftp to the box and look through all the folders. I even took the time to back some of them up before reformatting but i guess ill have to see if the reformat solved the problem 1st. And I use EvoX so if this seems to be a recurring problem it’s not the dash because I am not using the same dash as the guy above me.

Well reformating and starting over seemes to have fixed it but now i have to copy the 90Gigs of games back to it

Yea, like I said, I'm using UnleashX and having the same problems.  I also have a 1.4 box.  The craziest thing is that after a while of using non-video skins, the video-skins will work flawlessly loading apps.  I'm kinda wondering if my video-skins are requiring too much of the box's memory and then I try to load something and it hangs...  Anyways,  lemme know how that box turns out over the next few days.  If the problem doesn't arise again, then I may reformat/reinstall....which sux.

I just talked to the guy who's xbox i had to fix today and the last thing he was doing was playing the new 007 game. He was playing it off the CD and said it was playing fine then in the middle of the game the xboz jus half shut off he said the fans where all all but the light on the front was off and the screen was gone too.
he unplugged it from the wall waited a while then plugged it back in and tried to start it up. It went to the dashboard just fine. but then was no longer able to play any games.

I am jsut trying to narrow down what caused this so if anone elce who has had this problem can provide any other imput. it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, a few posts down(prlly on the next page by now) there's a post about games not playing...  It's specifically about the the 007 bond game.  Not much info, just stuff about patches for the game.  It does mention that it's a very picky game for some reason.  also states that you should make sure you In game resets are all set to off.
