Z Drive Has No Free Space.

is it the EvoX dash that is saying you have 0 space? Or is it another app? Are you using the G: partition?

Z: is a cache drive, so you don't need to do anything with it.  It will automatically clear itself out when you play a different game.  If you feel you must clear it out manually though, you can use boxplorer or ftp in to clear it.

I'm not using the G partition (UseGDrive = No),  and it's the dash that's telling me that there's no free space on Z.  I know it's just cache space, but I can't even FTP files to it.  If a game is denied access to Z:, I'm assuming that it'll crash.  Is this truly the case?

That's not what I'm asking.  I'm wondering if games that use the cache will crash if they happen to want to use the Z drive.  If the Z drive isn't accessible, will they just choose X or Y instead?

Suprise suprise!

X: Y: and Z: are all temporary partitions, and anything you store on them will be lost.  Next time read a FAQ.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear...
On my original Xbox hard drive, Evo-x reported that:
X had 786.300.928 bytes free
Y had 786.300.928 megs free
Z had 786.300.928 megs free

After installing my new drive and using the Evo-X disk to partition/format it:
X had 786.300.928 megs free
Y had 786.300.928 megs free
Z had 0 megs free

This 0 bothers me.
FTP will not let me write to Z drive, which leads me to believe that there is no Z partition
and X-ecuter 4981.06 is just faking its existence to keep the Xbox happy.

So you're saying that this isn't a problem?  Xbox games that require the usage of Z drive will not crash if they're denied access to Z?  The game will just cache to X or Y?

I've never heard of this.  In theory the game should use X or Y, but you never know.  A way to confirm this would be to load three games in order (that you know use cacheing) if the third doesn't crans then chances are you'll be ok.

Ok, your latest explanation makes things a little more clear.  I would think that this problem is probably caused by an improper formatting since it is a new drive.  Try doing the format again.  I would recommend using the ftp RAW command on the Z drive as it seems the others are already formatted properly.

It worked!  I just formatted partitions 1-6 and now it all works!  Thanks a lot!
