Boot Without A Video Cable Plugged In
« on: August 08, 2004, 06:33:00 AM »

I'm thinking of making a svideo and coax output in my box, and i would like it if i wouldn't have to  have the old video cable plugged in. In several tutorials i've found lots of things, one tut. said that i have to solder pin 5 and pin 6 to pin 17, another said that it was 18 to 17 to 5 etc. Does anyone know which pins i should connect or ground?

yes, and you can have the plug and the video cable i think, to have two screens at one time.  I have an xbox with a lcd screen in the front and i had to figure all this out.  with that switch not there the video comes out all messed up on the tv, but works fine for the lcd.  with it not there you need the cable in, but both should work, if fnot lemme know and i can make it work.
