I have xecuter 2.3b pro on a ver 1.3 xbox. I was able to flash it, when it boots up it shows the xecuter2 below the xbox splassh screen. I have gone throght this alot, I can not get the boot disk to work. I put dummy.bin evox.ini and default.xbe create an iso disk in nero and then I boot up and it comes back and tells me that it can reconize disk. What am I doing wrong? It is flashed with 4979.67 I want to be able to put in a 200 gig drive.

Please help. I have been reading and playing with this just about all day.

I read the tut on making a boot disk, n00b's guide to your first Evox Boot Disk  but I still have no luck.  I made a 300 meg dummy file.  So when you extract the files from Evox and then you make a folder and out in the 3 files and then run Craxtion and it creats an iso that is used to burn to a cd-rw in nero, Correct? What do you do with the 3 files? do they get burned? or is it just the one file that gets created with Craxtion? Is there a specific flash I have to use? When I boot up it just ends up telling me that it can read the media. I can see Excuter2 when It boots up.  I have v1.3 I am using Memororex cd-rw 4x, it is a Samsung drive x00603-005 ... Heck the mod install was the easy part. By the way it is excuter 2.3b pro

Please help I cant read anymore...

did you rename evoxdash from your evox to default.xbe then make the iso if thats not done then the xbox can't read it w/out the default.xbe

Here is what you should do

1.If you able to see the xecuter2 logo after booting - your xbox modchip and bios are working fine

2.If you still having problems in your Evox Boot Disk
- go back check your steps and see carefully the steps how you burn
- your evox new compile file is already an ISO file - do not create ISO again when you burn
- choose the lowest speed to burn as Xbox DVD DRIVE is very sensitve

If you have Nero - follow this steps
closed the inner startup program
choose recorder
burn image - click your Evox ISO file that you already created
tick write and finalize CD
choose lowest speed
Click Burn

Once you said that about not buning an iso in Nero after I created one in Creaxtion v3.1 I thought that was it, but no, it did not work. I have the 3 files in a folder (evox.ini, dummy.bin, and default.xbe) When I run Creaxtion and I click add, I then point to the location that has the 3 files. It then creates an ISO called RemoteX, then it wants me to save that file in another location, ok so fine. I do that. Should it be renamed something else? Do I add the remotex.iso and the 3 files to the disk? Or just the remotex.iso. I have tried it a few different ways. So when I burn the remotex.iso in nero, I tried to just copy the Remotex.iso to the disk, i was making an iso disk with an iso file, but I was told that wrong. Should I try a different burner. If I can flash the bios, doesent mean that my cd should work with the meadia that I am using? I got nero 6 now maybe that will make a difference. . The slowest I can burn is 4x.
I can see what I could be missing. It seems pretty straight forward

The mod install was way easier.

You're dummyfile probably isn't being burned first in the image because of it's name.  Try renamng it to something like 1.dat or 0.dat

That should insure that it'll be burned first and recognized by the xbox.

I got this to load but only from pbl. it won't load from the ms dash or from a reboot. does this only work on a modded box or will it work on an unmodded one?
