Can't See All Of Hd
« on: January 13, 2004, 05:20:00 PM »

I installed a 250GB HD, with one F partition but I can only see about 120GB on F. What app could I use to view all partitions to see where the rest of the space is? Also what allows me to manage files? Like renaming, moving etc...

All my info is in my sig

Thanks

Your bios doesn't support anything above 127gb. Get a bios like the Xecuter4979, this has big HDD support implemented. Also, you need to set "Use G Partition" to "Yes" in your evox.ini.

you want 4979.67 or 4980.67, those are the ones that use the G drive

I am using 4979.67. (as my sig points out)

With 4979.67 I thought you could have one big 'F' instead of using F & G.

I just want one big F, not G.

Are there any pros and cons vs F or F & G?

not in your case, an F partiton larger than 256gb (300gb or 320gb total HD size) will get corrupted once its full past that 256gb mark, but F+G there are no drawbacks (except 2 partitions)

Just flashed with 4979.06 but I still only have 121GB showing on F, out of 250GB, whats going on?!?!

With both .67 and .06 when I enabled 'G', I couldn't see anything, it was always 121GB on F.

Any help is appreciated, I'm confused.

Do I need to reformat the drive?

Why can't I see the whole 250GB's?
