M$ Dash Prob
« on: January 05, 2004, 08:17:00 PM »

i have bios evox m7 and dash evox 3935 but i cant seem 2 get my m$ dash to boot.  i've tried everythin under the sun to fix it even tried slayers 2.5 and i still couldn't get it to load.  any ideas, it just kicks me back to my evo dash it used to reboot back to it but now it just kicks me there it that helps.  my evo.ini has evoxdash as my main and xboxdash and my m$ dash and the links are correct.

Is your MS Dash (the actual file, not the evox.ini entry) ACTUALLY named xboxdash.xbe or msxboxdash.xbe??

did u run the multiregion dvd patch on the slayers 2.5 disc (or any of the multi region dvd patches for the original ms dash)? If you did you cannot boot the dash with the original bios, becuase when you run the patch it makes your original ms dash unsigned and the original bios cannot run unsigned .xbe's. So if this was yoiur case, then just run the multiregion dvd patch again and it should solve your problem (running it again returns the dash to original condition). Hopefully this helps you. This was the problem i was having and it took me a while to figure out the problem (some people here also came to the same conclusions). Good luck.
