Halo Freezes Up With Evox

Just curious if anyone had any idea why Halo Freezes up at the startup of the game when  "MS" pops up.  It freezes up when i boot the game from the Hard Drive and it does it when I cold boot if w/ the actual disk in the drive...  CRAZY shiz
