a person said he hotswaped his hard drive to his computer used xlinux and restored his c drive, my computer cant read the hardrive and i cant get a mod chip lol

My troubles seem to be worse...I had my xbox tsop flashed with the matrix bios, I guess. When it starts it would say "matrix inside" and put in my 120 gig drive and had a field day with it. Last month though, I put my 120 gig drive back in my pc and put in the original 8 gig drive and left it unplugged for a while. Recently, I formated traded the 8 gig for a 40 gig and put the 8 gig in another computer and formated the 40 gig...the only problem is, I forgot to back up anything...but according to the new Evox that's out, I should be able to boot from the cd. Somehow I can't, I just keep getting error code 16 which suggests that it can't unlock my hard drive? I've tried booting from the DVD RW into Evox to reinstall and format and all that, but I can't even get that far...just error code 16. I even came to a friends, and installed his drive from a non modded xbox into my and got error code 6. (Suggesting that it couldn't unlock the hard drive). So now I'm not sure what to do...any suggestions? Maybe it's not reading the DVD RW's? But I believe I used them before to boot. I know one problem is that the xbox has been turned off for so long that the time isn't correct and the xbox is trying to find the xboxdash.xbe file so I can reset the time, am I correct? But since I can't do that, it won't let me go further??? Any suggestions anyone??? :-)

I'm having the same problem. I deleted the msdash.xbe and all I can boot to is the error 21 screen. I have a xecuter 2.2 lite installed. Is their a way to FTP the box since I have a chip?

Won't work? I've put my hdd in my friends xbox and it worked fine. Why wouldn't it work?

i was talking about booting from slayers cd. i do have another xbox here though with no chip. could i put his hard drive in there and ftp?

i can't ftp 2 my xbox 2 what i did is install slayers 2.0 on my xbox
now i am going 2 use xboxploer (i think thats the name i'am at work now) 2 copy and paste the new dash over 2 the xbox from my cd

i'm not asking most of these ppl for help. The only one i found useful is u. If u read most these ppl won't be able to answer cloudxsoldier problem. Most of them r just freaking lazy n don't search. I think cloudxsoldier problem is very severe and i have done a lot of research, so i told him to ask for help here. Instead of solution we got lazy ppl that don't do any research.
